We’ve got some preliminary numbers on the MBE from the July 2013 bar exam. Looks like we had a nice scale with the mean coming in at 144.3 with a range of 41 – 189.9. Kudos to whoever got within 0.1 points of a perfect scaled score of 190! We’ll look more closely at the scale when more results are out. Until then, hang tight as results are coming out slowly over the next month or so here across the country.

Do you know when the July result will be released? I am very worried about the result.
The results should be available within a week. I will post on here when they are out.
The results have been posted inside the office of the committee on admissions. The list should be updated online by Monday.

I called the DC Bar office yesterday and asked if they had a date yet for exam results. The woman told me “not quite yet”…ugh.
I don’t want to freak people out, just letting you know. I actually received my letter saying I was unsuccessful today (Dated October 24th). I passed the MBE and got a scaled score of 126.5 on the essay portion. I bombed one of the MPT’s, which I had a hunch of, so I’ll be brushing up on them and back at it in February. Best of luck to everyone else.
When they release the official results, they’ll also release the procedure for challenging your score on the essay sections. Given that it sounds as though you came within just a couple of points of passing, it would likely be worth it for you to challenge and request a re-grade of your essays to see if you can get the few extra points that would make up the difference and get you to passing. Charles, I’m sorry to hear about your results. And I’m also really surprised considering when I called the DC bar office yesterday, the person who answered the phone told me that they didn’t have a release date yet. Are they still posting the list at the courthouse?
