  • Tutoring slots are full for the July 2014 bar exam

I am not accepting any more students for the July 2014 bar exam. I know that results have just come out but I only take on a small number of students each bar exam. For everyone that has already emailed me, I am going through your emails and will get back to you with options, including a waitlist. As always, feel free to email me if you feel you have exceptional circumstances for this summer but keep in mind that my roster is officially full. And yes, I am already accepting students for the February 2015 bar exam so if you are planning on taking that exam you may contact me about tutoring.

I’ve also gotten plenty of questions about seeking out other tutors. My advice is to trust your instincts. If you feel the tutor would be a good fit for you, then go with it. Other than that, I would stick to the basic questions such as how long have they been tutoring, what is their program like, how do they charge for their services, etc. Good luck and as always feel free to post with any questions.

  • Bar Exam Tutoring Roster is full for February 2014

My bar exam tutoring roster is full for all jurisdictions for the February 2014 bar exam.  I know that results from July are not even out yet, but 1/2 my slots were already full even before the July exam.  I apologize to everyone if this seems unfair since results are not even out yet but I only take on a limited number of students each exam.  And this year, I had many students contact me quite early.  Notwithstanding the above, there are always exceptions, and sometimes students of mine end up not being able to take the exam for one reason or another and drop out.  So feel free to email me if you have a strong need for tutoring for the February exam and I will see what I can do to try and help you out.  Until then, we are patiently waiting for results, with most jurisdictions releasing results this month, VA and DC at the end of this month, and California of course making us wait the longest until the 22nd of November.

  • Tutoring roster for July 2013 bar exam is FULL

I am completely full for tutoring this summer, including my tutors that work for me.  If you have extraordinary circumstances, feel free to email me and I’ll do my best to try help/give advice or point you in the right direction.  But at this point I am not taking any more students for July 2013 and my February 2014 roster is nearly half full as well.  I will try to post as many helpful posts as I can between now and the bar exam to help everyone out.  Best bet is to get started with studying in the next week or two and be sure and have a good, solid plan of attack.  You don’t need a comprehensive day-by-day plan, but put a good framework together so you can hit the necessary weekly milestones.  Good luck!

  • Just under 60 days until the February 2013 bar exam

With just a couple of days until the new year, and a little less than 60 days until the bar exam, many people are starting to panic because they have not yet started studying. Whether it was due to the holidays or whatever, don’t panic. Instead, take the next day or two to create a good study plan. Organize your study materials, put your game plans together and then make a commitment to stick to it. 2 months is plenty of time to study for, and pass, the bar exam. I am not taking on any more students for tutoring for the Feb 2013 bar exam, and my other tutors are mostly booked as well, but feel free to drop me a line with any questions you have. I’m always happy to help out where I can. Happy New Year!

  • Tutoring roster for July 2012 bar exam is full

I’ve filled my roster for the July 2012 bar exam and am not accepting any more students. However, I have two new tutors working with me who specialize on the MBE, VA, CA and NY bar exams so feel free to contact me and I can still potentially help you out for this summer. As always, check the FAQ first so you can send us the information we are looking for if you are interested in tutoring.

  • Bar exam tutoring for July 2012 exam

There are a few weeks left before I finalize my tutoring roster for the DC and Virginia bar exam. So, for those interested in tutoring send me an email if you are interested, and check out the tutoring FAQ as well. If you are taking an exam other than DC or VA, feel free to contact me as well. It’s in the first few weeks and last few weeks of Barbri that I tend to get the most requests for tutoring as people tend to feel overwhelmed at first, then under prepared towards the end. I’m happy to help with any questions you have about the bar exam.

  • Bar exam tutoring testimonials from former students

There’s a new page up on the blog that features some testimonials from former students I’ve tutored for various bar exams (Virginia, DC, New York, etc.). Additionally, I’ve pulled a few kind comments readers have left here on the blog and shared those as well. A big thanks again to all my readers and bar exam takers around the world; you are my motivation for doing this. Here’s the link:

BTW, this is the final social networking post of the weekend. I promise tomorrow we’ll get back to the usual business of waiting/posting bar exam results (hopefully starting with DC posting online).

  • Tutoring roster is full for Feb 2012

I have finalized my roster for tutoring for the Feb 2012 bar exam and am no longer accepting students until the July 2012 exam.  If you have extraordinary circumstances, and are taking the Virginia bar, feel free to send me an email, but I am not likely to take anyone else for the upcoming bar exam.

On a different note, I believe November 2011 MPRE scores should be out this week.  Good luck to everyone who took it.  The MPRE can definitely be a thorn in the side as it’s not as “easy” as many make it out to be.
