Maryland will be administering the new NextGEN bar exam this summer, starting with the July 2026 exam! This is a great opportunity for anyone in the DC area that wishes to take the NextGEN exam. Washington DC has announced that they are accepting concurrent applications as well so you can take Maryland and also apply to DC at the same time for this summer. This is a great advantage as DC itself will NOT be switching over to the NextGEN UBE until at least February 2028, so if the new format is what you need to pass then this is something you definitely want to consider.
