DC July 2016 Bar Exam results posted – UBE pass rate through the roof

DC has posted the July 2016 bar exam results here. The most interesting thing is the pass rate, which is the highest I have ever seen by a long shot. First time test takers had a pass rate of 71% with the overall pass rate being 62%. So, we had a total of 684 people take the exam and 422 passed. This is around double the number of people taking the exam and the pass rate is about 50% higher than usual as well. Congratulations to everyone who passed! If you did not pass,

don’t panic. Wait for your results to come in the mail and see what your score breakdown is and where you fell short. Re-evaluate how you studied and take some time to figure out your study plan for this February 2017. Most importantly, don’t give up!

Once I get details on the swearing in ceremony I will post them and of course, let the waiting game begin for pass letters to arrive, hopefully they will come faster this time than for the folks who took the exam this past February. Congratulations again!

    Has there been any word on swear-in dates or whether D.C. sent out the scores yet?

      I received my scores in early November, but still no information about swearing in.

    Have any July 2016 passers received any information about swearing in? And is anybody else being ignored by the Committee when asking for information? I have heard that there is a ceremony for people to take the Oath in a few days, but they have still not given any information about it. They are not responding to e-mails, or replying to e-mails with an unresponsive few words, not picking up the phone, putting me on hold and then hanging up on me.

    Reading over the comments on the Feb ’16 thread on this site and it seems like this is just what DC does.

    Has any passer received result letters yet?? I passed and am still waiting as well. Kind of frustrating!
