DC Bar Exam Results from July 2014 are posted

DC bar exam results are posted here for the July 2014 exam.

The overall pass rate was 39.3% this time with a 55.2% pass rate for first time takers.

Congratulations to everyone who passed!!! If you did not pass, take a couple of days to get over the initial disappointment and then take a look at how you prepared and think of a plan for February 2015.

Do you know whether you can waive in taking MBE for feb 2015 if you got 133 on MBE from July 2014 exam? Some people are saying that DC rule doesnt allow it because July 2014 MBE differs from Feb 2015 MBE (since CP is added…)

I would really appreciate your opinion/ answer.

Rule 46 (b)(8)(i)(A) says “An applicant may request the Committee to accept a prior
MBE administration provided that: 2.The subjects of the prior MBE are identical to those comprising the present MBE section; and 3. The prior administration was within 25 months of the present administration.”

It is not a change to the rule but an existing rule. So I was wondering or hoping that what I think it means is not true..

anyways… thank you

That rule has never been applied before, the committee (as far as I have heard) has not made a decision either way, so you are encouraged to simply apply for the essay only, and waive in your previous mbe score. If they decide to not accept it, you will know by early January at the latest at which point you will need to send in payment for the mbe portion of the exam. I know the uncertainty is less than ideal, but that is the best answer I have so far.

i’m wondering if DC mailed grade report by now. i haven’t received it yet. if not, could you tell me your idea on when Dc would mail it out?
